More detail on this person: Richard passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Canon City, CO. Richard was born in Denver, Colorado on August 7, 1925 to Benjamin and Frances Ellsworth. On August 16, 1952, Richard married Virginia Ann Ivie at Lawton, Oklahoma. Richard was preceded in death by Virginia in 2012. Richard is survived by his son, Robert of Gypsum, Colorado; his daughter, Bianca Ferguson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three granddaughters; one grandson; two great grandsons; and one great granddaughter. LTC Ellsworth served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a Master Army Aviator and earned many decorations and citations. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends. A private memorial service will be held at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Humane Society Shelter House, 110 South Rhoade Avenue, Canon City, CO 81212.
