More detail on this person: EVANS SCOTT AUGUST age 67, of Superstition Mountain, Arizona, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on May 1, 2014. He was a graduate of John Carroll University. Scott served on active duty in Vietnam as a WO4 and another 18 years with the National Guard and Army Reserves. He worked for 3M for 35 years finishing his career as director of sales. After retirement, he volunteered at the VA hospital in Mesa, Arizona. He loved his wife, family, country, golf, Harley, old cars, traveling and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Terri Evans; daughter, Heather Krehlik and husband Chad of Latrobe, PA; son, Jason Evans and wife Joy of Cornelius, NC; mother, Geraldine Evans of South Hills, PA; brother, David Evans and wife Jan; nephews, Mike and Matt of New Castle, PA; four beautiful grandchildren who adored him, Aiden, Maya, Sophia and Ava; cousins; and numerous fantastic friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Evans. His fun-loving way of life, wisdom and humor will be dearly missed and cherished! A memorial Mass with be held at St. Joan of Arc Church in South Park, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. Celebration immediately following. The inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project.
