More detail on this person: CW2 George T. Engratt passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 after a long bout with cancer. George was born July 27, 1945 in Waterbury, CT. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and attended the University of Connecticut. He also attended the U.S. Army WORWAC where he received the wings of a U.S. Army Rotary Wing Aviator. He then served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division assigned to the 158th AHB and later the 101st AHB. During this tour he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for Valor and Bravery.
