More detail on this person: James "Jim" Robert Edwards, II , Age 69, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Born in Logan, IA on Aprl 6, 1948 to the late James and Virgil Edwards. Jim served in the US Army as a helicopter pilot, obtaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He received his Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jim was a corporate piliot for 31 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, antique cars, auto racing, and tending to his yard. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marie; sisters, Marge Burks and Janet Philpott (Rick); mother-in-law, Ruth Novoshielski, and many family and friends. A viewing will be 10:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Schoenberg Memorial Chapel, 519 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
