More detail on this person: Capt. Edwards, USMC, Dies CAMP LEJUENE, N.C. - Capt. Stephen A. Edwards, USMC, died Thursday in a Camp Lejeune hospital. A Marine helicopter pilot, Capt. Edwards was a graduate of Camden High School and the U.S. Naval Academy. He had served several tours of duty including five years in Hawaii, sweeping Hiaphong harbor and evacuating Phnom Pehn and Saigon. He had been stationed at New River, N.C. since August. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Edwards of Camden. Surviving in addition to his parents are his widow, Mrs. Lynne McGillivrae Edwards of Omak, Wash. A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden. Another memorial service will be held Tuesday at Camp Lejuene.
