More detail on this person: I met John the day he reported as the Supply Office, D Troop, 1/4 Cav, 1st ID. He had just returned from Viet Nam (1972). I'll never forget his 1964 yellow Chevelle Super Sport. Being a Chicago car, it had more rust than metal. We often spoke of re-bodying it. I don't know if he ever got around to it. He was a very kind and generous person. He was a Captain at the time and wanted a career in the Army.
