More detail on this person: ELLIS, CLARENCE H. JR. ELLIS, CLARENCE H. JR., 76, of Treasure Island, died Wednesday (Dec. 7, 1994) at the VA Domiciliary at Bay Pines. He was born in West Palm Beach and came here in 1969 from Alexandria, Va. A career military man, he retired as an Army colonel in 1972 after 32 years and served during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. He was a former chairman of the Treasure Island Planning Board and a past president of Capri Isle Civic Association. He was a 1940 graduate of the University of Florida. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Brian, Richmond, Va., and Lance, St. Petersburg; a daughter, Michele Ellis, Houston; and six grandchildren. David C.
