More detail on this person: Fred Farner CARBONDALE -- Lt. Col. Fred H. Farner, 79, of Daleville, Ala., formerly of Carbondale, passed away Friday, June 13, 2003, in his home in Daleville. Fred was born July 4, 1923, to Fred and Addie (Foster) Farner of Carbondale. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Wolff of Memphis, Tenn., a son, Timothy F. Farner, of Dothan, Ala., two sisters and a brother-in-law, Imogene and Maurits Blomberg of Naperville and Genevieve Farner of Carbondale. At his request he was cremated. Memorial services will be at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Ozark, Ala.
