More detail on this person: Major John Ray Fuller, Jr., (Retired) U.S. Army, age 84, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Phillipsburg, St. Maarten. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 10:30 A.M. at Heritage United Methodist Church, Enterprise, AL. In Lieu of flowers, you can donate to the Heritage United Methodist Church Building Fund. Mr. Fuller retired from the U. S. Army after serving 20 years. He was a Helicopter Pilot, served 2 tours in Vietnam with 2,027 combat flight hours. He received the Distinguish Flying Cross, Bronze star, Air-medal with 58 Oak Leaf Clusters, 4 with V device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Master Aviator Badge. After retirement from the army, he flew as a civilian primary instructor pilot for 14 years, 13,000 plus hours flight time in helicopters. S.A.R., Heritage United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Ray and Mariemma Plant Fuller and a grandson, Justin Sperling. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue Fuller, Enterprise, AL; son and daughter-in-law, John Ray Fuller III (Trey) and Beth, Harker Heights, TX; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnna Fuller Sperling and Brian, Madison, AL; grandsons, Joshua Sperling (Savanna) Madison, AL; Ethan John Fuller, Auburn, AL; granddaughters, Alana Sperling, Madison, AL; Evan Fuller, Harker Heights, TX; a brother, William Fuller, Opelika, AL.
