More detail on this person: Shelton Rodgers Foles Seminary, MS Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Jones & Son Funeral Home, Richton for Mr. Shelton R. Foles, 79, of Seminary who passed away December 16, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Monday. Dr. Dean Register will officiate. Interment will be in the Buck Creek Cemetery in Richton. Mr. Foles was retired after 30 years service as a U.S. Army veteran with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 04. During his career he was a fixed wing and helicopter pilot, serving in Korea and Vietnam. For twenty years, Shelton served as pilot for ex- Mayor Bobby Chain. He was preceded in death by his first wife Doris Edwards Foles and a brother, Clifford Sherman Foles. Surviving him are his wife, Barbara J. Foles of Seminary; step-sons Danny Ellis (Rebekah) of Oak Grove and Johnny Ellis of Madison, AL; step-daughter, Sandy Slonek ( Nick) of Los Altos, CA; brother Willie Shelby Foles (Bobbie) of Marrow, GA; sister, Earlene Foles Thronson of Gulfport, a number of nieces and nephews including Diane and Loyd Clark, Donna, Zoe, Cam, Lea & Andy; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
