More detail on this person: RONALD RICHARD FLISS 44, of Arvada died Aug. 3 in his home. Services were Aug. 7 in Drinkwine Mortuary. Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery. Mr. Fliss, a native of Chicago, was a helicopter pilot for Emergency Medical Services in Wyoming and Michigan and with the Oregon Forest Service. He served two years as an Army helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and also flew for companies in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Alaska. Survivors include his wife, Diane Fliss of Arvada; a son, Kevin Fliss of Arvada; his parents, Bernard and Laura Fliss of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; a brother, Tom Fliss of Aurora, Ill.; and three sisters, Cathy Fliss and LeAnn Mitch of Coeur D'Alene and Pat Bustos of Illinois.
