More detail on this person: Warren Frier Dothan AL United States Lt. Col. (retired) Warren Scott Frier, 66, of Ozark, died Saturday morning, March 7, 2009, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was 66. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Rev. Harry Circle officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. Monday until service time. Mr. Frier was raised in Casper, Wyo., and graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Mr. Frier served in the U.S. Army in Korea, flew helicopters in Vietnam and also served in Germany and Saudi Arabia. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia L. Frier of Ozark; two sons, Jonathan Frier and his wife Marcie of Ozark, and Scott Frier of Helendale, Calif.; his mother, Frances Frier of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Jane Aikler of Stamford, Conn.; seven grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Ave., Ozark, AL 36360.
