More detail on this person: Charles Patrick Flanigan, 84, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse, NY and entered the U.S. Army retiring as a CW-4 with 28 years of dedicated service. He was a helicopter pilot and served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. He was stationed in Germany, Ft. Bragg and ended his career at Ft. Eustis. In his retirement, he worked at J4 Machine & Welding as a machinist. He had a keen interest in automobiles and computers and never had to hire a handyman. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Adele Flanigan and his siblings, James Flanigan and Ellie Berger. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Connie Flanigan; his 3 sons, Jim Flanigan and his wife, Sue, Scott Flanigan and Mike Flanigan and his wife, Rebecca; his 5 grandchildren, Maggie Wright and her husband Chris, Ben Flanigan and his wife, Sarah, Jill Flanigan and her husband, Travis Douglas and Kane and Nathan Flanigan; 5 great-grandchildren, Ava, Max, Ronan, Torvi and Fynn and his sister, Mary Jean Flanigan. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, DAV.
