Major Anthony Owen Foley, 57, of Phenix City, died Sunday, Jan. 16 at St. Francis Hospital. Military Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at Fort Benning Main Post Cemetery with Dr. LeBron Matthews officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Foley was born on Jan. 19, 1947 in Oakland, Md., son of Hester Baker Foley of Oakland, Md., and the late John Foley. He was a Ret. Major in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was in the automobile industry as a salesman. Survivors other than his mother are his wife, Michelle Foley of Phenix City; one daughter, Beth Foley of Atlanta; three sons, Tony Foley and wife Anessia of Atlanta, Ian Foley of Phenix City and Scott Foley and wife Jennifer of Monroe, N.C.; sisters, Patty Foley of Oakland, Md., and Jeanne James and husband Everett of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, James Foley and wife Wanda of Oakland, Md., and Mike Foley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Peyton and Kerris Foley of Marietta, Ga.
