More detail on this person: William Fonshell Jr., 76,(obit) Retired Army lieutenant colonel William Fonshell Jr., 76, of Glen Mills, died May 15 at home. Mr. Fonshell, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, was born in Baltimore. He attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Mr. Fonshell served in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam before retiring in 1973. He worked for the Red Cross in Chester, and was employed by the American Bible Society. Survivors: Son, William Fonshell III of Haddonfield, N.J.; daughters, Rebecca Fonshell George of Lewisville, Katherine Fonshell of Ardmore; sister, Miriam Moses of College Station, Texas; five grandchildren. Mass: 10 a.m. today, First United Methodist Church of Media, 350 W. State St. Visitation: Were held Wednesday night. Contributions: Taylor Hospice, P.O. Box 147, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
