More detail on this person: Larry L. Foore TALLMADGE -- Larry L. Foore, 71, passed away Oct. 19, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer.Larry was born in Robertsdale, Pa., and lived in the Sacramento and Tallmadge areas since 1991. Larry retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and retired on Jan. 30, 1980. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal with Numeral 8, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Service Star, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Larry was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and the University of Akron where he lettered in football. He spent his life giving to his country, his family, and his friends. This loving father will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and engaging personality. He will be missed by all who knew him. The oldest of five children, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Lucia of Calif.; sisters, Edna (Robert) Schneidenbach, Judith (Michael) Flasco, both of Florida, and Linda (Thurnes) Bennett of Tallmadge; brother, Michael (Francine) Foore of Virginia; grandchildren, Erica and Ashley Lucia; former wife and friend, Marian Foore; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and Virginia Sue Ledoux Foore.Funeral mass 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at Our Lady of Victory Church, with Rev Fr. John Hengle officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in California. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be given to Visiting Nurse Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
