More detail on this person: Jesse P. Forester Jr. *VENUS -- Jesse P. Forester Jr., 69, a retired U.S. Army major and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. Graveside service: 9 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Jesse was born Nov. 18, 1939, in Seymour. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, where he flew Huey helicopters. Jesse served during the Vietnam War. After Maj. Forester's military career, he worked in the aerospace field for Perry Johnson Registrars and PRI Registrars. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse P. Forester Sr.; and sister, Shirley Lovett. Survivors: Wife, Lecia Forester; daughter, Cheryl Davila; sons, Randy Forester, Rusty Forester and Jason Forester; mother, Freda Matchett; brothers, Jerry, Larry, Robert and Stephen Forester, Gary Matchett and David Matthews; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
