More detail on this person: LTC Wallace H. Franklin, Jr. LTC Wallace H. Franklin, Jr. Canton, Georgia resident, age 77, formerly of Proctor, VT, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009 at his residence. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. LTC Franklin retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service, including two tours in Vietnam in Engineering and Aviation. LTC Franklin received the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal w/OLC, Air Medal w/numeral 12, Army Commendation Medal w/Valor Device and OLC, Army Master Aviator Badge and numerous other awards and decorations. He also retired from the John Russell Corporation after 25 years of service as a Vice President, Project Manager of the Industrial Division. A daughter, Bur Walker, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Loraine (Sweetheart) Franklin; children, Ben Franklin of Wilmington, NC, K.C. MacKenzie of Ann Arbor, MI, Aaron Franklin of Sandusky, OH, Alecia Wing of Mettawa, IL, Charm Pate of Wilsonville, AL, Butch Franklin of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Wes Franklin of Wheaton, IL, Frances Betzoldt of Dexter, MI, Leari Franklin of Atlanta, GA, Kobbe Franklin of Louisville, KY, Mica McMillan of Canton, GA and Kyman Franklin of Alpharetta, GA; brother, Bruce Franklin of LaQuinta, CA; 21 grandchildren.
