More detail on this person: John Franznick John passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2012, surrounded by family members. He lived a professionally satisfying (sometimes very exciting) life while serving in the military, managing and later owning distribution companies in Arizona and Oregon after his military retirement. He proudly served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts and received the Bronze Star Meritorious Service medal, five air medals and numerous other awards and decorations. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol; three sons, John, Michael and Kelly; and six grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, September 14, at 1:15 in the afternoon at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, www.cancerresearch.org. He was 82 years old, and he enjoyed it all.
