More detail on this person: CW4 (Ret.) Duman Ray French, 85, of Daleville, passed away peacefully at his home in Daleville, surrounded by his family on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.Mr. French was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the U.S. Army, after 33 years of service to his country. Mr. French served multiple overseas tours during his career, in Austria, Germany and Korea. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, Mr. French worked for Northrup Gruman and Daleville City Schools as a much beloved bus driver and band supporter. Survivors include his wife, Doris Marie (Bates) French; daughter, Janet Kay (French) Gomes (Ronald II) of Daleville; son, Philip Ray French (Jennifer) of Daleville; four grandchildren, Ronald L. Gomes III (Takreem) of Bogart, Ga.; Sabrina L. (Gomes) Willis (Jesse) of Savannah, Ga.; Mark A. French of Daleville; Michelle E. (French) Cazalas (Joshua) of Madison; four great-grandchildren, Jade A. Gomes, Amber J. Gomes, James D. Horton and Sophia M. Horton.
