More detail on this person: FIELD, Eugene "Gene" M. Jr., 80, of Spring Hill, Florida, died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his home. He was born February 17, 1940 in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina and moved to Largo, Florida in 2012, then relocated to Spring Hill in 2017. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was a helicopter pilot during the war and then for 29 years with the United States Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife of 14 years: Shirley Field of Spring Hill, Florida; sons and daughter-in-law: Eugene Field III, Jeffrey & Terri Field of Pennsylvania, and Andrew Field of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter: Lorraine Howard of Perry, Georgia; stepchildren: Lisa Kim Sampson of South Carolina and Clint E. & Shelbi Middleton of Wallops Island, Virginia; six grandchildren.
