More detail on this person: Martin M. Flickinger Martin M. Flickinger, 62, of Don Pedro Island, Fla., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at his residence. He was born Oct. 30, 1943, in Reading, Pa., to Martin M. and Dorothy J. (Currey) Flickinger Jr. Mr. Flickinger served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a medivac helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He moved to the Englewood area 12 years ago from Tampa, Fla. He was the owner of Flickinger Properties and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Englewood, Fla. Mr. Flickinger is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan S. Flickinger; three sons, Mark C. and Michael T. of Don Pedro Island and Matthew R. of Englewood; four daughters, Alison T. of Gainesville, Fla., Jillian C. of Don Pedro Island, and Amy and Pam of Pennsylvania; and his grandson, Blake. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Carol. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at the Englewood chapel of Lemon Bay Funeral Home, with military honors to follow at 6 p.m. There will be a memorial funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Englewood.
