More detail on this person: Marvin F Frazier Marvin Freddie FRAZIER Marvin Freddie Frazier passed away March 26, 2009 in Sparks, NV he was 70 years old. Marvin was born July 14, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas to Fred and Sadie Frazier. Marvin graduated from North High School in Wichita. He made the military his career. He joined the Marines at the age of 17 where he was trained as a helicopter pilot. He served a tour of duty in Vietnam. While in Vietnam he managed to rescue his fellow soldiers behind enemy lines. In the Marines, Marvin was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat V. He was also stationed in the Philippines where he met and married Mal. Marvin later joined the U.S. Army serving as a Captain and again returning for a second tour in Vietnam. In the Army Marvin was again awarded a Bronze Star Medal. He later served in the Army Reserves. He often told his family that while in the military, the men that served under him were his most important concern. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Mal who passed away in 2004. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Frazier of Arvada, CO and Frances Majors of Nashville, TN. Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, NV is in charge of his final arrangements.
