More detail on this person: Capt. Rodney Carl Frye Rod, of Norwich, England, passed away suddenly February 8, 2015 at age 67. He was born in Eugene, OR September 23, 1947 to Herbert and Shirley Frye, the youngest of four children. He was a 1965 graduate of Sheldon High School.

Rod served his country as a helicopter pilot during the Viet Nam War. With a passion for flying he continued his career working for British Airways; British Int'l. Helicopters and KLM UK Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Rachel and Alexandra; five grandchildren; a brother, Jim Frye; a sister, Sharon (Frye) Boles, a niece, 3 nephews; numerous cousins and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his Father, Mother, brother, Ross and niece, Kristina.

A Requiem Mass will take place in Norwich on February 26, followed by interment at Colney Woodland Burial Park.

There may be a memorial in Eugene at a later date.
