More detail on this person: RAYMOND B. ''RAY'' FULLER JR. Ray Fuller died Monday, June 7, 1999, while vacationing in Rapid City, SD. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, at the Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa; burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association. Ray was born August 7, 1943, in Hampton, VA. He was a captain in the United States Marine Corps and a naval aviator during the Vietnam War. Ray served as battalion executive officer of the Kansas Army National Guard prior to his honorable discharge in 1989. At the time of his death, Ray was vice president and assistant director of human resources at UMB, where he had been employed for 21 years. Ray lived life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman and fly tier, officer in the KC BonsaiSociety, and in past years had served as a USSF referee instructor. In Ray's zest for life, he enjoyed the outdoors, golf, and soccer, and would often treat family and friends to his famous ''wings of fire'' and a tune on his didjeridu. Ray leaves behindhis wife and best friend of 37 years, Peggy, of the home; son, RC, Kansas City, MO; father, Ray Sr., and stepmother, Retha; brothers, Mark, Chuck, and Scotty, and their families; sisters, Candy, GiGi, and their families; and mother-in-law, Jean O'Neal, Del City, OK. In Ray's life, he touched numerous family members and friends. His passing will leave a great void. He will be missed by all who knew his wonderful smile. (Arrangements: Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa)
