More detail on this person: Lawrence Douglas "Larry" Farmer Lawrence Douglas Farmer, (Larry), 48, of Ozark, Ala., formerly of Roanoke, Va., died suddenly Sunday, March 26, 1995, of a heart attack. He was a 1965 graduate of William Fleming High School, a 1973 graduate of Virginia Tech, served as a Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and a Flight Instructor at Fort Rucker Army Base. He was a member of the Air National Guard in Birmingham, Ala. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, Ala., where he sang in the choir. He was preceded in death by his father, William Roy Farmer Jr. He is survived by his wife, Dee Farmer; sons Loren and Ronnie; daughter Melissa, all of Ozark, Ala.; his mother, Betty Comer Farmer of Knoxville, Tenn.; his brothers, Bill Farmer of Ridgeway, and George Farmer of Richmond; sisters Betty Hungate and Gayle McDonald of Roanoke, and Anne Allen of Dalton, Ga., also are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Ozark, Ala., on April 2, 1995 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
