More detail on this person: Charles Purvis Frinks Born in Alexandria Va, MAJ Frinks attended Hargrave Military Academy, the University of Maryland, and then attended the State University of New York, attaining an arts degree. He was the son of PVT Charles Oliver Frinks, who was KIA in Germany in 1945; Charles Purvis Frinks enlisted in the Army that same year, and served in many of the units his father had previously served with. He received his 2LT commission in 1952. He served on active duty in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam, among other locations both internationally and stateside. His last active duty assignment was Director of Methods of Instruction at the US Army Primary Helicopter School, Ft Wolters, TX. Following retirement from the Army in 1966, MAJ Frinks held positions in a defense industry company, again traveling abroad and within the US.
