He was born December 31, 1930 in Canada the son of the late George Gagnon and Frances McIntyre. His wife Roberta Tobias Gagnon preceded him in death. Mr. Gagnon was retired from the U.S. Army as CW4 and was a Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Theresa Catholic Church. He is survived by sons, Cary T. and Sandy Gagnon, Douglasville, GA; Gray S. and Sandy Gagnon, Dale City, VA; daughters, Michelle & Phillip Burdett, Douglasville, GA; Danelle Bone, Douglasville, GA; sister, Hope & John Dunton, Canada; 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 30, 2005 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Monday, January 31, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Richard Tibbetts and Father Stephen F. Leva officiating. The committal service will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Tiffany Arlworth, 6854 Laurelwood Dr., Douglasville, GA. 30135. Arrangements by Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, Douglasville, GA. 30134.
