More detail on this person: Warren Duane George, born April 15th, 1936 in Lawrence, IN to the late Lonnie and Avlyee (Fisher) George, passed away after a long illness on December 3rd, 2021. Warren served his country for forty-three years as a warrant officer and pilot for the US Army, performing 3 tours in the Vietnam War. During his early years in the military, he met and married Nancy Ann Gordon on November 2nd, 1957. Warren had many hats over the years. He always talked about his first job as a bellboy and the restaurant that he and Nancy owned and operated in Phoenix, AZ. He loved flying for the military and for fun when he had his own plane. In their later years, Warren and Nancy would travel to many festivals, selling Scottish and Irish collectibles. Warren is survived by his wife Nancy, son Duane and his wife Christi (Linder) George, all of Carthage, MO, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Warren is preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Kevin. Funeral services with full military honors for Warren are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri, 65804.
