More detail on this person: George Grossfuss THE VILLAGES, Fla. - George Hanns Gross-fuss, 72, died Sunday (2/8/09) at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Fla. He was born June 9,1936 in Detroit, Mich. He moved to Florida in 1991 from Nashville, N.C. He was a Career Service-man for the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a Major. He was a member of Military Officers Assn. of America, Vietnam Helicopter Pilot's Assn., worked in the Hacienda Hills Golf Shop for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. Grossfuss of The Villages, Fla.; sons, Kevin J. Grossfuss of Sanford and Keith A. Grossfuss of Elm City; his mother, Dora F. Grossfuss of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Irene "Rene" Wee of Alexandria, Va.; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. with full military honors conducted by Lake County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to The Marine Corps, Law Enforcement Foundation, 10 Rockfeller Plaza, Suite 1007, New York, N.Y. 10020 or American Cancer Assn., Attn: Relay for Life for The Villages, 1650 W. Main St., Suite # 3, Leesburg, Fla. 34748. Arrangements are by Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory of Lady Lake, Fla.
