More detail on this person: Charles Graham Sr, a proud Vietnam Veteran age 83, of Wichita Falls passed away on July 4, 2023. The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls with a Christian Wake to follow with Deacon Jim Bindel, officiant. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Charles was born in Ralls, Texas on December 15, 1939 to the late Charles Thomas and Beulah Mae (Coker) Graham. At the age of 20 Charles enlisted in the army. He valued this service highly, and attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer III (CW3). As part of his service, Charles received many medals and honors during his two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, and a Silver Star. After twenty years of service, he retired as a Master Army Aviator. Charles grew up in Edcouch, Texas where he graduated from Edcouch Elsa High School. This is where he met his high school sweetheart, Shirley Graham. They were married for 59 years. During his years of service, they traveled many places all over the world raising their two boys. Charles was a wonderful man who loved his family very much. He loved attending all his grandchildren's games and activities. Charles loved to go drink coffee every morning, play bingo, poker, pool, and dominos. He was known to be quite the pool shark. Charles never met a stranger, and he loved to visit with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley Graham; his daughter in law Betsy Graham; and his grandson Dustin Graham. Charles is survived by his two sons Charles Graham Jr. and Jack Graham; his sister Sandra Taylor; grandchildren Janna Johnson and husband Jared Johnson, James Graham, Jessica Graham, Charles Graham, Christopher Graham, and Camilla Graham; and 3 great grandchildren, Jasper and Jacksy Johnson and Jaci Graham.
