More detail on this person: GIBSON, Major Myron Stanley GIBSON, Major Myron Stanley, Age 64, passed away Dec. 2, 2009 at Moffitt Cancer Center. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he moved to Dunedin in 1980. He joined the U.S. Army at age 17. He was a medic and served two tours in Vietnam. He received many medals and awards during his 20 years of service. He attended the University of Nebraska and received many degrees while in the Army. He retired from Gibson Marine Construction in 2005 based in Pinellas County. He was the most loving and caring husband. He was the Love of my life and vice-versa. His friends knew him as the dog whisperer. He is survived by his wife Patty; two granddaughters and a grandchild on the way from his son, Adam and daughter-in-law Carla; son Ian; three grandchildren; and his daughter Lesil; and a sister, Marilyn Thomas. He especially loved his four legged kid, Cricket. His service will be held at 2:15 pm on Jan. 22, 2010 at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg. Eternal Rest Funeral Home 733-2300
