More detail on this person: William Arthur Gebhardt, Jr William "Bill" Arthur Gebhardt Jr., age 74, passed away June 10, 2009 at his residence in Dumfries, VA. Mr. Gebhardt was born March 28, 1935 in Victoria, Texas and was the son of the late William and Milady Kubica Gebhardt Sr. Bill was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and received the Silver Star, the Bronze Star for Valor and two Purple Hearts. He was Master Aviator. After retiring from the Army as a Colonel, he pursued a successful career as a Realtor in Northern Virginia for over 30 years. Survivors include his first wife, Janell Palmer of Jacksonville, FL and his second wife, Joyce Fairley Gebhardt of Dumfries, VA; one son, Mark Randall Gebhardt of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Lisa Renee Spock and her husband Robert of Jacksonville, FL and Amy Leigh Barber and her husband Paul of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Marilyn Howard and her husband Will of Horseshoe Bay, TX. He was also survived by four grandchildren, Andrew Nelson Spock, Katie Leigh Barber, William Patrick Barber and Allie Paige Spock. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday June 20, 2009 at the Mountcastle Funeral Home in Dale City, VA. The interment will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL at a later date.
