More detail on this person: Larry E. Gove, 67, left his Earthly life Aug. 21, 2015 in Henderson. He was a proud long-time resident of the Henderson community. A Vietnam War veteran, Larry served courageously flying helicopters into hostile territory to rescue injured soldiers. Larry was honorably discharged from the Army and awarded the Gallantry Cross and Bronze Star for his extraordinary service. He was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for over 30 years continued the theme of service that resonated throughout his life. He was a dedicated father and grandfather who freely gave of his time, money and knowledge for the betterment of those he loved. Larry worked hard and endured without complaint until the very end. He was a role model and beloved hero to all who knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Shirley Gove; his son, Jonathan Gove; and grandson, Dominic Heredia. He is survived by his wife, Diana Gove; sister, Sherry (Mike) Mead; son, Adrian Gove; daughters, Stephanie Heredia (Joseph Anderson), Sabrina (Aaron) Lowe and Ariel (Robert) DeNinnis; granddaughters, Megan Gove, Skyler Anderson, Savannah Heredia, Mia Ramirez, Payton Anderson, Gianna Lowe, and Arabella DeNinnis; grandsons, Zachary Heredia, Anthony Ramirez, Christian DeNinnis and soon-to-be-born baby boy, DeNinnis. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Deseret Rose LDS Chapel, 567 Pacific Ave., Henderson, NV 89015. Graveside service will be private at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
