More detail on this person: CPT Robert Bernard Garcia, (Ret) Passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Robert was born in France on July 18, 1947, son to the late Robert Alfred Garcia and Marie Terese Eberle Garcia. Robert retired from the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He loved people, loved to help those in need and had so many friends. When someone needed help his moto was always "Too Easy". One thing he loved to do was play the Casinos in Las Vegas. Robert will be greatly missed by all his many friends, but mostly by his family, but his legacy will live on for years to come. He is survived by his wife Vickie S. Garcia of the home; a son, Brian Wayne Garcia and wife Claudia of Idaho; daughter, Christine Jenae Garcia of Las Vegas; step children, John Koota of Florida, Elisha Bushell and husband Daniel of Florida and Joanna Resnick and husband Barry of Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Michael Garcia, Joshua Cruz Garcia and Dylan Scott Garcia; 1 great great grandchild, Mya Jenae Garcia and many extended family members and friends. CPT Garcia served with the utmost honor and distinction and was awarded the following awards during his Military career. The Purple Heart w/Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal-26, Air Medal w/V Device, Army Achievement Medal w/Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Bronze Service Stars, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon -2, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation and Senior Army Aviator Badge. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Bragg, NC 28310. In Lieu of flowers, donation may be made to an animal shelter of one's choice because of Roberts love for animals.
