More detail on this person: Keith Wallace Glasgow, 87, passed away on July 30, 2010 in Austin, Texas. He was born on March 25, 1923, in Lipscomb, Texas, county seat of Lipscomb (pop. 50). His parents were Elver Charles Glasgow and Lena Schneider Glasgow. At the young age of 3, he moved with his parents and twin younger brothers to the new town of Follett (Lipscomb County). He and his brothers went through school in Follett and Keith graduated from Follett High School in 1940. Keith was active in almost every sport that had been invented at the time. He did well scholastically and continued his education at Texas A&M. Toward the end of World War II, he entered the naval pilot program and saw action in the Pacific. In 1947 he married Rosalie Ehrlich. To this marriage were born two sons. Following the war he remained in the military reserves (this time in the U.S. Marines). Returning to the Texas Panhandle, he was active in farming and ranching (Herefords), until he was called back into active duty in the Korean Conflict. After briefly returning to the rural life, he had the opportunity to become a pilot again, this time in the U.S. Army. He served two tours of duty in Viet-Nam and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He finished his military career in 1970. In 1972 he joined his son Ken in the Austin real estate market as a REALTOR and investor. His wife, Rosalie passed away in 1976. In 1980, Keith married Norma Holly Foreman. They spent many happy years in Austin and ten years in Connecticut. In 1992 Keith and Norma retired to The Hills of Lakeway. Keith was an early member of Northwest Hills United Methodist Church and in later years he and Norma were active members of Lake Travis United Methodist Church. Keith was an avid golfer and tennis player at The Courtyard Tennis Club and Hills Country Club. Keith was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosalie, his parents and his brother, Kenneth of Princeton, TX. Keith is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons Ken Wallace Glasgow and Douglas Kaylor Glasgow, all of Austin, TX; stepson, Dr. Kim (Karla) Foreman; stepdaughter, Dr. Kerry Foreman (David Bush); four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
