He was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., on Oct. 30, 1949, to Clarine Nashold Greenawalt and Donald Dean Greenawalt. He is survived by his wife, Linda Carney, of Social Circle; daughters, Cherie Hass, of Gaffney, S.C., Heather Wakenigg, of Athens, Christie Pollard, of Fayetteville, and Cathleen Greenawalt, of Social Circle; sisters, Janet Smith and Deborah Golanski; brothers, Rogers Greenawalt, Fredric Greenawalt, Stan Greenawalt, John Greenawalt and Joe Greenawalt; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Chaplin Andrew Pasdag officiating. Burial followed at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Meadows Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
