More detail on this person: Earl Gleim BEDFORD -- Earl Gleim, 72, a retired U.S. Marine Corps major, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at a local hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Burial: (with military honors) noon in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials: May be made to Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 9709, Fort Worth, Texas 76147. In 1974, Earl retired from the U.S. Marines with 23 years of service to his country at the rank of major. He then began a 21- year career at Bell Helicopter as a manager, retiring in 1995. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, symphonies and Broadway shows. His memberships included AUSA and Masonic Koppeal Lodge 292. His wife of 51 years, Margaret, preceded him in death Feb. 19, 2002. Survivors: Daughter, Diane Brabson of Bedford; brother, Leroy Gleim and his wife, Laquita of Bedford; sisters-in-law, Elsie Roussel, Betty Bryant and Lula McCullohs; grandchildren, Deborah Mobley and her husband, Kenneth of Southlake and Christopher Brabson and his wife, Kimberly of Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Lauren Brabson and Conrad Mobley; aunt, Jessie Carpenter Klose; and 14 nieces and nephews.
