Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ellen; son, David (wife Patricia), beloved daughter Karen; and granddaughters (Christina and Glenna) and great-grand children. Jim was a retired Lt. Colonel with the USMCR, a pilot, and a Vietnam Veteran with numerous Awards, Medals, and Commendations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was also a retired Los Angeles Police Officer with over 36 years of service. Services are scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2009 Promptly at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, Staging area 3 (951) 653-8417. Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early to be escorted to the actual service location.
