More detail on this person: James Allen Grundy Photo circa 1975 NEW ALBANY -- James Allen Grundy, 63, passed Thursday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Louisville and attended the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in New Albany. Mr. Grundy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army, from which he retired as an officer. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Williams Grundy; two daughters, Debra F. Grundy and Robyn E. Grundy-Miller (David); his mother, Ella Mae Lewis; a sister, Barbara G. Shively; a brother, Charles E. Grundy; a grandson, David H. Miller III; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 315 E. 5th St., New Albany, with burial in West Haven Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation will be from 5-8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2003, and 10 a.m. until service time on Monday, January 27, 2003, at the church. Baity's Funeral Home, New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
