More detail on this person: My dad, Ltc Charles V. Graft, Jr., was with the 1st Airmobile Division (He and I tended to call it 1st Cav, but it was technically 1st Airmobile at the time). He spent some time as Deputy Commander of DivArty and the rest as Deputy Commander of Division Air. He headed there in 1967, in July or close to that, and returned a year later, in July 1968.

He flew combat in WW2, Korea and Vietnam.

We were living in Springfield, Virginia when he died of a heart attack.
