More detail on this person: Walter R. Herbster, 67, of Stoystown, died Sept. 27 at home.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Merle O. and Elizabeth R. Kottman Herbster.

He was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Helicopter Association.

Along with his late wife, Judith M. Wayne, he was the owner/operator of Shefford-Meade Inc., Stoystown.

Surviving is his brother, Richard F. Herbster, Venice, Fla.
