More detail on this person: USA (retired) Colonel John Frederick Hagen, 72, originally of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away Friday August 14th, 2015 at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Tx. He was surrounded by his wife, Lynda, and his two sons John and Jeff, and a close friend. In 2012, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer and ischemic heart disease and after three years of intense treatment, he passed with multiple organ failures. His difficulties were related to agent orange exposure in Vietnam. A graduate of the University of Michigan, University of Southern California, and Fresno State University. John applied his education in the service of the United States Army, the National Test Pilot School and the Federal Aviation Administration. His distinguished career included service in Korea, Vietnam, and West Germany as well as the United States of America. He served as a military commander, an engineer, a test pilot, and an educator. John enjoyed riding, showing, and caring for the family's Tennessee Walking horses. He also enjoyed reading, woodworking, travel and RVing with his family, John is survived by his loving wife, Lynda of 48 years and his sons John and Jeff
