"Jack" Horton, 63, a retired Army colonel, died Tuesday at a Mineral Wells hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Eleventh Avenue Church in Mineral Wells, where he was a member. Burial: May 3 in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. Visitation: 7 to 8 tonight at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Col. Horton was born in Roanoke, Va. He was a Vietnam War veteran, and a life member of Mineral Wells American Legion 75. Memorials: Eleventh Avenue Church or American Cancer Society. Survivors: Wife, Lynda Horton of Mineral Wells; son, Tom Horton of Germany; two daughters, Sandy St. Cin of Sulphur Springs and Gailene West of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Margaret Cunningham of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
