More detail on this person: Our beloved husband, father, GrandDad, and fishing buddy John A. "Jack" Hrubik died suddenly on November 17, 2016, after a valiant battle with a severe illness. He was born in Orwell, Ohio, on July 15, 1943, to John and Helen Hrubik. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 36 years, receiving many honors including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with 21 OLCs and numerous other awards. He was honored by the U.S. Army as a Distinguished Member of the Signal Regiment. He retired as the senior CW5 in the Signal Corps in 1999. He was married to the love of his life, Nancy, in 1969, and was blessed with two wonderful daughters. He is survived by his wife, and daughters _ Jennifer and her husband Carter Staver, Amanda and her husband Logan Gruenthal, and four grandchildren Nathan Staver, EmmaClaire Staver, Gregory Gruenthal, and Faith Gruenthal.

A funeral Mass will be held at the Main Post Chapel at Ft. Huachuca on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to either the Disabled American Veterans or the Sierra Vista Shooting Range where he spent so many hours pursuing one of his many hobbies.
