More detail on this person: Oct. 12, 1941 - Aug. 19, 2015 Cullis Lee Holub, beloved husband, father and grandfather joined our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2015. He was born in San Antonio, TX on October 12, 1941 to Jerome and Helen Holub. He graduated from St. Mary's University in 1963 and upon graduation, served in the US Army for 3 years, obtaining a designation as an Army Aviator and serving a tour in Vietnam. From 1967 to 1990 he served in the US Coast Guard achieving the rank of Captain and was Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi. During his years of military service, he received many awards, medals and commendations. After military retirement, he worked in his brother's home building business, as office manager. As a lifelong devoted Catholic, he was a member of Our Savior Parish. During his life, he was a faithful servant and filled many roles including CCD/Confirmation teacher, Eucharistic minister & Adoration Coordinator, Lector and 3rd Degree Knight -Knights of Columbus. He will be lovingly remembered for the love and devotion he had for his family and his strong Christian faith. He had a kind and generous heart and was quick to help anyone in need. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Joyce Faye Holub, his daughter, Kimberly Lynn Holub, brother, William Charles Holub and sister Judith Marie Holub Brolin. Survivors include his wife, Diane Elizabeth Holub; one son, Lee Holub (Julie McElhany); one daughter, Dee Ann Holub Stanley (Michael); one stepdaughter, Angela Chancellor Prine (Bill); two stepsons, Anthony Williams (Trina) and Stuart Williams; five grandchildren, Samantha and Scott Stanley, Lindsay, Matt and Chris Holub; 7 step grandchildren, Addison, Madeline Kate, Haidan and Evelyn Prine, Tyler (Christina), Tucker and Cody Williams; one brother, Michael Holub (Carol); four sisters, Pat Puhl (Harold "Chip"), Barbara McDermott, Sandi Durr (Michael) and Darlene Enloe (John). Visitation will be at 9:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Our Savior Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM with Reverend David Tokarz as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Pine Crest West Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Our Savior Catholic Church.
