More detail on this person: Mr. David Willis Harmon, age 71, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Franklin, TN. He was a native of Oxford, MS and a son of the late David Irby and Betty Pettit Harmon, Jr. David served in the National Guard as a helicopter pilot and retired from the United States Army as a Lt. Colonel. He later retired as an Industrial Engineer and was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Clynese Harmon of Chapel Hill, TN; daughters, Georgia Gay (Stan) Butt of Chapel Hill, TN, Joy (Len) Rinehart of Ashland City, TN, son, Monty (Star) Harmon of Miami, FL; sisters, Jane Harmon Crouch of AR, Ruth Harmon Redd and Rose Harmon Regis, both of MS, 9 Grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dale Jenkins officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted at 10 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS.

The family has requested Memorial Donations to the Chapel Hill Church of Christ Mission Fund or Maywood Christian Camp-Hamilton, AL.

Pallbearers will be Monty Harmon, Stan Butt, Jr., Len Rinehart, George Rinehart, Stan Butt, Sr., and Charles Sellars.
