More detail on this person: HUBBS II,A. "Perry" 71, died April 1, 2017 after losing a battle from a long illness. He leaves behind his wife, Marty; son, Perry III; daughter, Krista; three grandchildren, Crystal Weaver, Whitney Shaw, and Chloe Hubbs; brother, Roger; and sisters, Sandy and Robin. Perry was a veteran of the Vietnam war where he was a helicopter pilot in the 117th Sidewinder Guns, a special ops division supporting seal units in cambodia. Perry was awarded several medals including the Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. Perry received his BS degree in Iowa and an MBA from Indiana. He also graduated from the Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army and was a professor at USF for 20 years. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 7, at Dobles Funeral Home, 701 E. Tarpon Avenue, Tarpon Springs. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Florida Veterans Foundation, 400 Monroe Street, Suite 2107, Tallahassee, FL 32399, a cause he was so proud to be involved with, helping homeless and disadvantaged veterans.
