More detail on this person: Ronald Haglund, son of Arnold and Maxine, entered eternal rest Jan. 15 peacefully sleeping. He is survived by his three children Joyce Meyers, David Haglund (Lisa) and Cindy Pirog (Steve) as well as grandchildren Curtis, Lauren and Scott Meyers, Cassidy Haglund, Ben, Ted and Jeff Pirog. Ron was born and raised in Jamestown NY and attended Grove City College in Pa. Upon graduation he entered the USAF where he was a helicopter pilot. His distinguished 20 year career took him to Iceland and Germany as well as assignments in MA, MS, CT, and DE. He proudly served in Viet Nam where he flew rescue missions as part of the Jolly Green Giants squadron. Upon completion of his 20 year career with rank of Lt. Col. (Ret.), Ron returned to school earning his MBA before beginning his second career with the USPS. Ron was predeceased by his sister, Donna Rae Britt. Ron loved his family, his friends and his country. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at The American Legion Post 273 Banquet Hall in Madeira Beach on Sunday Jan. 21 from 12-3.
