More detail on this person: Bill was born a "military brat" in Waltham, Massachusetts. His travels included Turkey, the Holy Land, Goose Bay Labrador, Mexico and a majority of the fifty states. He graduated from Danvers High School and Salem Community College. He joined the Air Force flying rescue helicopters state side during the Vietnam Nam era.

After leaving the military he settled in Alamogordo, New Mexico where he managed a local convenience store and later worked in income support for the state of New Mexico. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Harvey, Orlando, Florida; his father, William Harvey, Sr. of Largo, Florida; and his sister, Cheryl (Bill) Olney) Pine, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his mother, E. Jeannette Harvey, formerly of Gloucester, Massachusetts.

His body was ravished by Parkinson's disease and COPD. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in the fall. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
